Privacy Policy.

Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how Dragon Bay IT LLC ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects the personal information of visitors to dragonbayit.com (the "Website"). By using the Website, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.
Information We Collect
Information You Provide Directly
We collect the information you choose to give us when you request an AI Readiness Assessment, ask for a quote, complete the AI Readiness Questionnaire, or contact us. This may include your name, company, email address, phone number, company size, industry, the number of users and servers, and anything you write in a message.
If you complete the AI Readiness Questionnaire, we also collect your answers about how your company uses AI tools, handles its data, and protects its accounts and devices. If you ask for an in-person meeting, we collect the address where we should meet you. The questionnaire never asks for passwords or account details.
Automatically Collected Information
Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information when you visit, including:
- IP address
- Device type, operating system, and browser version
- Pages visited and the date and time of each visit
- Referring URL (the page you came from before visiting our site)
We use this information only to run, troubleshoot, and secure the Website. To protect our forms from spam, we also keep a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address for up to one hour after you send a form.
Third-Party Services and Tracking Technologies
Our Website's fonts and files are served from our own web host, so visiting the Website doesn't send your information to any third-party service unless you allow it.
We don't currently use analytics, advertising, or other third-party tracking scripts. If we add any in the future, we'll list them here, and they will only run after you allow them in Cookie Settings.
How We Use Your Information
- To respond to your request for an assessment, a quote, or other inquiries
- To prepare your AI Readiness Assessment and recommendations
- To follow up by email about your request and the services you asked about
- To operate, secure, and improve the Website, and to protect it from spam and abuse
- To comply with legal obligations
We'll only send you marketing emails if you ask us to, and you can stop them at any time.
How We Prepare Your AI Readiness Assessment
We treat your questionnaire answers as confidential. They describe how your company protects its accounts, devices, and data, so we use them only to prepare your assessment and recommendations, and we never share them outside our team.
To prepare your written assessment, we use an AI tool to help organize your answers and draft the report. We use it through a business account that doesn't use your information to train AI models. A member of our team reviews and edits every report before you see it, and the findings and recommendations are ours.
Cookies and Consent Management
Cookies are small data files placed on your device. Similar technologies, like your browser's local storage, can store information in the same way. We group what we use into four categories:
- Necessary: required for the Website to work, and always on. We set one cookie,
dbit_consent, to remember your cookie choices for 12 months. - Analytics: help us understand how visitors use the Website. We don't currently use any; if we add them, they'll run only with your consent.
- Marketing: used to measure advertising and show relevant ads. We don't currently use any; if we add them, they'll run only with your consent.
- Preferences: let the Website remember choices you make. With your consent, it saves your AI Readiness Questionnaire answers in your browser so you can pick up where you left off (cleared when you send them or choose "Start over"), and carries your contact details from the request form to the questionnaire until you close the tab. This information stays on your device; we don't receive it until you send a form.
When you first visit the Website, a cookie banner lets you Accept All, Decline All, or Customize your choices. No optional cookies, storage, or tracking scripts are used until you make a choice. You can change your preferences at any time with the Cookie Settings link in the footer of every page, or here: . Declining or withdrawing consent won't affect your ability to use the Website, although your questionnaire answers won't be saved on your device.
We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser sends it, Marketing stays off.
Your Privacy Rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, and you can opt out of any marketing emails. Email privacy@dragonbayit.com with your request. We'll respond within 45 days, and we may need to verify your identity before acting on it. We won't treat you differently for exercising your privacy rights.
California Privacy Rights
California Invasion of Privacy Act (CIPA)
California Penal Code §§ 638.50–638.55 restrict the use of "pen registers," processes that record routing, addressing, or signaling information from electronic communications, without a court order or the user's informed consent. Third-party tracking technologies can fall within that definition. We obtain your consent through our cookie banner before activating any non-essential tracking technology. If you don't consent, non-essential tracking scripts don't run on your device.
California Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA)
To the extent these laws apply to us, California residents have the following rights:
- Right to Know: request the personal information we have collected about you and how it was used or shared.
- Right to Delete: request that we delete personal information we have collected, subject to certain exceptions.
- Right to Correct: request that we correct inaccurate personal information.
- Right to Opt Out: opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information: limit our use of sensitive personal information.
- Right to Non-Discrimination: we won't discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
To submit a request, email privacy@dragonbayit.com. We'll respond within 45 days and may need to verify your identity first.
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
We don't sell personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. If that ever changes, it will only happen with your consent through Cookie Settings, and you can always opt out by emailing privacy@dragonbayit.com with the subject line "California Opt-Out Request."
Sharing Your Information
We don't sell your personal information. We may share it with:
- Service providers who help us run the Website and deliver our services, such as our web hosting and email providers and the AI tool described above, who may use it only to provide their service to us
- Law enforcement or government agencies, if required by law or to protect our legal rights
Data Security
We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.
Data Retention
We keep personal information for as long as we need it to respond to you, provide our services, keep business records, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. You can ask us to delete your information at any time. Your cookie choice is kept for 12 months, and spam-protection data for up to one hour.
Children's Privacy
Our Website is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll post the new version on this page and update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the Website after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
